I’ve been building sites with WordPress for several years now. Casually at first, but now I do it full time. I’ve become pretty familiar with the platform – I can set up sites quickly and effectively, I can navigate my way around the File Manager if needed, I can make basic CSS customizations and work with the PHP a bit. For the most part, I’m pretty comfortable with it.
But I’ve spent hours working on one of my own personal ideas, and I’m still not even close.
I’m trying to create a site much like panoramaLOVE – Tumblr. I set that up a while ago using Tumblr, and now I want to move it over to WordPress. But try as I might, i still have a long way to go.
I’ve installed several different themes on panoramaLOVE, adjusted the CSS, and started over with a new theme. Currently, its not even close to what I want. The frustrating thing is that I don’t even know what to do to get it there. I don’t know how to code so I can’t make it myself. Sure, i could pay someone to do it, but how nice would it be to be able to make it myself.
I’m thinking I’ll put together a description of what I want and see if I can get some advice from public forums on at least where I can start.
